Hunkered Down Heron Print on Paper

A wonderful person named Daisy inspired me with her beautiful nature photography of wildlife around Vancouver Island. During an exceptionally harsh winter storm for this region, Daisy captured a heartfelt scene of a heron weathering the storm, tucking its neck in and standing on one leg, with snow on its head. Daisy embodied what it means to recognize the sentience in animals, empathizing with them and highlighting their resilience and will to live. The original painting will be auctioned off with proceeds going to a nature charity.
